The Kent Chamber of Commerce website uses a KISS (Keep It Simple well, you know) search method. What this means is that for simplicity sake, the exact word or words you enter are searched for. No attempt is made to find similar words or related words, something you might be familiar with from a search engine. However, if the word you entered is contained withinin a larger word, your search will find the larger word.

Therefore, when choosing your search phrase, try to follow these guidelines:

• Choose the singular tense of a word over the plural. A search for shoe will find shoes and shoe store whereas a search for shoes will only find shoes.
• If you don't find what you're looking for, try simplifying your search. A search for Lake Waramag won't find Lake Waramaug because of the misspelling, but a search for Lake will.
• Keep in mind that case does not matter in your search. A search for Mark will find both the name Mark as well as the word marketing.
