Stoneforge Chronicles is an online newspaper, a newsnet, for the town of Kent, Connecticut. We feature local news stories, pictures, video, and extended stories of both current and historical interest. We not only will provide local news about the topical events in Kent government, but also will look at the cultural, commercial, and individual endeavors throughout our town. Our stories will be enhanced by as many images of Kent as possible.
As an online newspaper in Kent we follow in the footsteps of Ted Marks and his trailblazing small town publication, the KentTribune.com. When the KentTribune.com ceased publication this summer, we all lost a great asset to our community. We started Stoneforge Chronicles to provide the kind of immediate response journalism it represented, the local community forum it became, and the home away from home it was for many of us including our soldiers. We can’t fit in Ted’s shoes, but we can try to follow the trail he blazed. May Ted and his wife, now resettling in Maine, have soft winter nights and long summer days. God Bless.
