Every hour of every day, GeronNursing provides help to those in need. Established in 1988, we are a multi-faceted, comprehensive nursing organization registered with the State of CT Department of Labor, and State of CT Department of Consumer Protection and are celebrating our 20th year in business. At the nursing facility, hospital, assisted living or home care level, we can provide Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Aides, Personal Care Attendants, Homemakers, Companions and Sitters in the greater Litchfield, Fairfield and New Haven counties. Extensive and consistent attention is given to services ranging from one hour to 24-hour around the clock coverage when needed. Staff relief available with qualified employees. Clients’ needs and wishes determine appropriate services.
We contract with a professional Geriatric Care Manager (GCM) for overall need for services through assessment of person and environment. The GCM can screen, arrange and monitor in-home care or other services; refer to other geriatric specialists; provide adherence to nursing care plans; advocate for the client and family; and act as a liaison between client, family, doctor and other professionals alerting family members to any concerns or problems.
GeronNursing & Respite Care, Inc. is a subcontractor for Connecticut Community Care, Inc. and the Dept. of Social Services providing Homemakers, Companions and Chore Persons for those clients accessing their Medicaid benefits. GeronNursing & Respite Care, Inc. is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, C.A.R.E.S. (Coalition of Agencies Relating to Elderly Services), Case Management Society of America (CMSA), CT Business and Industry Association (CBIA), CT Homemakers and Companion Association, Kent Chamber of Commerce, New Milford Chamber of Commerce, & New Milford Business Network Group. Our Hours:
Monday through Friday 9 AM - 5 PM & AFTER HUORS: Answering service with an “on-call” person to address questions, comments, concerns, problems, etc.
Closed:
The office is closed major holidays; however, the “on-call” person is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through our answering service.
